District 15’s Director of Human Resources, Phil Georgia, received the Illinois Association of School Personnel Administrators (IASPA)’s New Member Award. The award is given to a member of fewer than three years who has provided significant contributions to the organization and membership.

Phil has taken on a true leadership role with many programs since beginning in District 15 as the Director of Human Resources. He has worked to develop a strong teacher mentorship program that aligns with current District initiatives. Additionally, Phil has been a leader of a recognition committee and has helped lead initiatives to ensure all staff feel appreciated.

Lisa Nuss, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources shared, “We are so proud of Phil for this amazing accomplishment. We appreciate all the work he does not only for District 15, but also for IASPA and his fellow HR colleagues.” 

Since joining the District 15 Human Resources team, Phil has served on the IASP professional development committee and has presented at the following conferences: IASPA 2021, IASPA 2022, and HREssentials 2021. Phil will also support the organization’s members by providing them with an upcoming webinar.
