Katie Burns-Wojtalewicz, Library Innovation Teacher at Walter R. Sundling Junior High, shared why she is proud to be a product of District 15!

Katie shared, "Some of my favorite memories are related to my love of running. It started during my years at Thomas Jefferson through field day and PE class, and ultimately culminated in a great run in the yearly mile race. This led to my participation and success at Carl Sandburg, where we won the Sandburg Relays and held the mile relay record for many years! It seems like yesterday!

I love that I can share stories and memories of teachers that had an impact on my life and ultimately inspired me to become a teacher."
