On February 12, 2022, 152 band, orchestra, and chorus students from eight District 15 schools competed in the annual Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) Solo & Ensemble Contest. This annual contest provides music students an opportunity to perform for a judge and receive feedback from a professional musician. The contest includes woodwinds, brass, percussion, piano, string, and vocal events. The event gave students an opportunity to showcase their musical talents after much dedication and practice. Our students did a terrific job representing our district's music program.

Students who participated from District 15 overwhelmingly placed in the first and second divisions. District 15 had 11 students achieving a perfect solo score and 2 students achieving perfect duet/ensemble scores. District 15 extends congratulations to all IGSMA participants for their excellent performances and hard work.
