In April 2022, Hunting Ridge hosted the Illinois State University (ISU) Professional Development School (PDS) Graduation Celebration! PDS is a partnership between District 15 and ISU's School of Teaching Learning. Liz Stephan is the Site Coordinator and Clinical Assistant Professor for this partnership.

PDS is a community of teacher candidates from ISU and Cooperating Teachers from D15 that requires seniors to be immersed in an authentic school setting for one year, where they engage simultaneously in university coursework and clinical experience.

It takes a community of people to guide this mission and we were lucky to have presenters from reading specialists, curriculum and instruction directors, intervention coaches, ELL educators, regional superintendent of school ROE5, and District 15 educators assist us in exploring the complex interrelations between learners, curriculum, and teaching. Congratulations to the 19 ISU graduates as move forward to become young leaders of education!
