D15 recognizes Albert Martin, firefighter from Palatine Fire Department

Albert Martin

District 15 is honored to recognize Albert Martin, a firefighter from the Palatine Fire Department, for his dedicated years of volunteering his time (including on his days off) to teach fire safety to the students at Stuart R. Paddock School.

Albert has served as the “Stuart R. Paddock Firefighter” for approximately 20 years. His four children all attended Paddock School and for many years after they moved on from Paddock, Albert has continued to come back year after year to educate hundreds of Paddock Panthers.

Albert had already scheduled his fire safety lessons during the spring of 2020 when the schools were closed for in-person teaching due to the pandemic. That didn't stop Albert! Mr. Martin took it upon himself to create video lessons that all Paddock teachers would be able to share with their homerooms online so that the important work of fire safety would be uninterrupted.

Simply stated, Albert deeply cares about our students and we would like to thank him for his contributions to our students at Stuart R. Paddock prior to his retirement from the Palatine Fire Department on March 18, 2023.

Thank you, Albert, for your dedication and commitment to the safety of our students!
