Arrival/Departure Procedures: Students are to enter the building and go to their classrooms when they arrive, between 8:15-8:25 a.m. No child should enter before 8:15 a.m.

Drop-Off Procedures:

• All vehicles should enter the north parking lot off of Westsbury Drive, drop off the students, and exit back onto Westbury Drive.

• Vehicles should drive into the drop-off area pulling all the way up, having their child ready to exit the vehicle on the sidewalk side of the parking lot.  

• There is no vehicle traffic on Haman Avenue from 7:45-8:30 a.m. and from 2:35-3:15 p.m. during school days. Only buses are allowed in the front (west side) of the building during those times.

• If parents need to come into the school building, they need to park in an assigned 15-minute parking space, or on Haman Avenue or Haman Court, across from the school.

• Please do not park in zones marked in yellow.

• Do not double park.

• Children are not allowed to cross between cars.

• Please do not park on the surrounding streets that have traffic signs designating that no parking or standing is allowed. 

• Any student arriving in the class after 8:25 a.m. will be marked tardy.  

AM Kindergarten Pick-Up Procedures: Parking along the curb for the morning pick-up after class is not permitted. Parents must park in designated parking spaces.

Departure: If there is a change to your child’s dismissal routine, please send a note to your child’s teacher or call the school office at least 30 minutes before dismissal.

No vehicles are to be parked and left unattended in the north parking lot. The Hoffman Estates Police Department will enforce parking regulations strictly. Parents are urged to adhere to them.

Walking to School/Crossing Guards: There are adult crossing guards at the following locations:

• Westbury and Thornbark

• Westbury and Haman

Students who walk to school should schedule their routes to take advantage of the above services.

Students should not take short cuts through homeowners’ yards or over dangerous obstacles such as fences, creeks  or wooded areas. Students should also avoid the paths around the lakes because those paths are not supervised. The lakes can be dangerous. Please discuss walking safely and “stranger danger” with your child(ren).
