Illinois Report Cards

Illinois Report Card logo

The Illinois Report Cards provide information about schools’ performances on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) Exam, the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA), the 5Essentials Survey, ISBE Equity Journey Continuum, school student body demographics, and comparisons of how this information compares to District and state averages. The Illinois Report Card also includes information about each school's performances on the previous state tests, the PARCC and ISAT, and are typically released in late fall.

2024-25 Summative Designation

Each October, every school receives an Illinois Report Card. As part of the report card, there is a Summative Designation assigned by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). This is one indicator of school progress that encompasses content proficiency and growth, attendance, and school climate. These designations—Exemplary, Commendable, Targeted, and Comprehensive—recognize varying levels of achievement and need across subgroups, which include special education, multilingual (EL) learners, and socio-economic status. This information is used to help districts recognize strengths, but also to illuminate areas where additional support is needed.

In 2024-25, District 15 had 3 schools obtain an exemplary designation, 14 obtained commendable, and 1 school obtained targeted status.

As we celebrate these accomplishments, know that the Departments of Teaching, Learning and Assessment; Multilingual Programs; and Student Services, as well as building leaders along with their School Improvement Teams will use this data to review what is working and make plans to provide additional support where needed.

District 15 remains steadfast in its mission to provide every student with a high-quality education. Guided by our strategic plan, we will continue to prioritize success and belonging, the impact of student engagement, the vital role well-being plays in one's ability to access learning and the importance of daily attendance—ensuring that every learner has the greatest opportunity to thrive.
