Staff Spotlight
We are showcasing and celebrating our amazing District 15 staff members!
Jennifer is a Physical Education Teacher at Virginia Lake and she has worked in District 15 for 27 years. She says, “I love teaching kids new games and fitness. I want them to learn healthy skills and to be active for their lifetimes.”
Rachel is an Instructional Coach at Hunting Ridge and she has worked in District 15 for 19 years. She says, “I am really proud to have spent my whole teaching career here in District 15. I have worked with so many phenomenal people over the years: students, staff, and families- both at Willow Bend and Hunting Ridge. While teaching is and always will be my passion, being an instructional coach over the past 2 years has also been an incredible gift, as I've gotten to work with and learn from so many talented teachers; it really shows just how many committed and gifted people we have working in this district.”
Maria is a Dual Language 4th Grade Teacher at Jane Addams and she has worked in District 15 for 4 years. She says, “My favorite thing about working in education is getting to see those “lightbulb” moments when a student understands something new—it’s truly the best feeling! Working in District 15, I love being part of such a supportive and collaborative community that always puts students first.”
Sapna is a Bus Aide for Jane Addams and she has worked in District 15 for 8 years. She says, “I love the kids!”
Mrs. Hoeft is a 5th grade teacher at Hunting Ridge and she has worked in District 15 for 19 years. She says, “My favorite part about teaching is building relationships. Whether it's with students and their families or forging friendships with colleagues, I am truly blessed to have them all in my life.”
Mrs. Enright is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Lincoln School and she has worked in District 15 for 17 years. She says, “I love that I get to help students from many different backgrounds with many different speech and language needs. I love that I get to work with students on their speech sounds and their listening comprehension skills. I love using iPads with some of my students to help them communicate with others.”
Mrs. Hidrogo is a Dual Language Kindergarten Teacher at Kimball Hill and she has worked in District 15 for 2 years. She says, “I have loved all the wonderful students I have met and the relationships I have been able to create with the families as I have had many siblings this year. I also love that I am able to create a space for multilingual students to feel empowered about their voice. Growing up I had teachers with "No Spanish" speaking signs. I love that I am able to make a difference for others in a way I wish teachers had for me.”
Dr. Schlup is a Reading Specialist at Hunting Ridge and she has worked in District 15 for 13 years. She says, “Teaching children to read is extremely rewarding! As a Reading Specialist, I have the opportunity to share my passion for literacy with both my students and the teachers. Each day is an adventure that I am privileged to be a part of.”
