Welcome to Kimball Hill Elementary School!
-
Thank you for your interest in Kimball Hill School, home of the Cougars. Our school serves a diverse population of approximately 540 students in Kindergarten through Sixth grade. Kimball Hill is a family-oriented school where the home-school partnership is invaluable, as we work together to produce world-class learners. Our Kinball Hill Mission is to provide an environment where every student, every day feels supported, included and empowered to be their very best!
The staff at Kimball Hill strives to meet the needs of all of our students. Teachers continually participate in professional development opportunities to enhance their skills so they are able to provide a variety of experiences with their students. Special intervention programs are in place to assist students in their learning and to assist them in closing the achievement gap. Special education and bilingual services are also available to students who qualify.
Kimball Hill is very proud to be a part of the Illinois Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system. PBIS is a schoolwide system that promotes social and academic success for all students. All students are acknowledged for exhibiting positive behavior by following the Cougar Code: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe.
We encourage students to assume leadership roles within our school. Through our PBIS system we have student leaders who create our morning daily video announcements. We also like to involve students as we plan our monthly school-wide celebrations.
We invite parents to volunteer at school and encourage them to join our active PTA. The PTA sponsors activities such as the beginning-of-the-year picnic, talent show, trunk or treat, fun fair, and much more.
We welcome your questions and invite you to visit our school. For more information, or to arrange a visit, please contact us at 847-963-5200.
