Welcome to Frank C. Whiteley School!
Thank you for your interest in Frank C. Whiteley School. We are committed to continuous improvement of instruction as we strive to produce world-class learners. We provide a strong and challenging curriculum with a particular emphasis on reading. Our students excel academically as demonstrated by the results of the Illinois state assessment tests, where our students significantly exceed state averages in all areas. Whiteley earned the 2012 Academic Excellence Award designation on the Illinois Honor Roll (for the fifth consecutive year, five years total), a distinction that goes to high-achieving Illinois Schools.
Frank C. Whiteley School serves approximately 600 students from diverse backgrounds in our kindergarten through sixth-grade programs. We also house two of the district's self-contained special education programs. We have a full-time Japanese-language teacher, and a full-time Korean-language teacher on our staff to support children who speak those languages. Technology is an important and integral part of our students’ day. We have a full computer lab, multiple computers in all our classrooms, and wireless laptop computers for student use.
We encourage our students to become involved and be leaders in their school and community, often working hand-in-hand with various organizations in the Hoffman Estates community on environmental and community projects.
