Welcome to Jane Addams School!
Welcome to Jane Addams Elementary, home of the Jaguars! Each day we greet approximately 600 students with our strong expectations for learning and growth. Students at Jane Addams are supported by a highly dedicated staff who acknowledges the unique gifts of each child. We honor and respect our school, community, and families.
At Jane Addams, we collaborate and honor our three pillars: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible. We also provide students strategies and support through Expect Respect! Developing a common expectation for respect ensures Jane Addams continues to be a place where all create an environment to support effective learning.
Our leaders continue to develop the skills to succeed and thrive in the next level of their education. Through effective strategies, teachers guide and model through a variety of educational approaches. Our students are encouraged to share their observations and engage in connections through each learning outcome.
At Jane Addams, we celebrate the contributions of the Student Council, Spanish Club, Girls on the Run, Latino Family Literacy, Mindful Meditation, and Makers Club. Active involvement in school supports and connects our students and families. Our technology also enriches our educational opportunities. Chromebooks connect students to a 1:1 educational experience in the 6th grade and students in K-5 grades continue to be supported through the chromebooks at their grade level and iPads.
We value our community partners. This year, we will continue to welcome our teams from Hands on Suburban Chicago, Kids Hope, Harper College, United Way of Metro Chicago, along with our parent volunteers. Our classrooms are alive with energy as student engage in the daily tasks of learning to achieve their utmost potential.
