Welcome to Stuart R. Paddock School!

Thank you for your interest in Stuart R. Paddock School, home to over 700 kindergarten through sixth-grade students. Through the school improvement process, Paddock continuously strives to improve student achievement in all academic areas and for all students. We utilize balanced literacy instruction, and encourage student growth in the areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Most importantly though, we ask each student to do their best each day, each year—no matter what grade they are in—so that when elementary school is finished, they are successful in junior high and on down the line until they decide what path they want to take in life. Teachers, students, and parents join together as a team to promote student success by signing pledges to commit to doing their part during the school year.

We support a positive learning environment and the success and development of the whole child through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Students are encouraged to make their character count every day by following our school rules: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. Students are acknowledged daily through the use of PAWS tickets, and the school holds regular celebrations when school-wide behavior goals are achieved.

Paddock believes in a strong connection to the local community. We welcome parent volunteers and potential future educators that volunteer through the Harper College and District 211 mentor programs. Our PTA involves families with many social events throughout the school year.

We are proud of our school and welcome the opportunity to share more with you. Please call 847-963-5800 for more information.
