Jazz Band is open to all Seventh Grade and Eighth Grade students who qualify by audition.  The Jazz Band seats a select group of musicians and is comprised of the following instrumentation:

Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Electric Guitar, Piano, Bass Guitar and Drum Set.  Note: all wind players and percussionists are also required to participate in Concert Band or Symphonic Band.

The Jazz Band rehearses throughout the school year on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in the WRS Theater with occasional sectionals before/after school (prior to upcoming performances).

The Jazz Band performs at various events throughout the school year.  This year's performances include: 7th Grade Fall Band Concert, 8th Grade Winter Band Concert, Fremd HS Jazz & Java Concert, Open House Performance and 8th Grade Spring Band Concert.

The 2022-2023 Jazz Band is comprised of 15 Seventh Grade and Eighth students.
