WRS Girls Basketball 2019
The Sundling Paladins Girls Basketball team had an eventful season. Complete with epic wins, extreme second half comebacks, and tough defeats. This group prides themselves on their sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication. Every day brought excitement to see what these Paladins would bring to the court. The team finished the season strong earning second place in both the district conference and tournament; a title they are proud to hold. While it was a great season, it is only the beginning for this group and the Paladins cannot wait to see what next year has in store for them.
Sundling's 8th-grade girls basketball team rocked the season with an overall record of 9 wins and 3 losses. The girls worked hard to learn a number of plays and skills. They were seated as first in the district tournament with an overall place of first in the conference. After a nail-biting game against Plum Grove, the team won the championship by 2 points.
The season begins in August and runs until mid-October. There are girls’ basketball teams for both seventh and eighth grades. Tryouts are held in mid-August. Twelve to 15 girls are chosen for each team. Both teams participate in a District tournament in October.
