Illinois Report Cards

  • Illinois Report Card Logo

The Illinois Report Cards provide information about schools’ performances on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness Exam, the Illinois Science Assessment, the 5-Essentials Survey, school student body demographics, and comparisons of how this information compares to District and state averages. The Illinois Report Card also includes information about each school's performances on the previous state tests, the PARCC and ISAT, and are typically released in late fall.

2021-22 Designations

  • Summative Designations

Every October, schools receive an annual Illinois Report Card that shows how schools and the District are progressing on a wide range of educational goals. Due to the pandemic, 2022 marks the first time since 2019 that a summative designation has been conferred. The designation is based on the school’s overall accountability indicators, as well as the data for individual student groups. Schools fall within one of four performance designations: Exemplary, Commendable, Targeted Needs, and Comprehensive Needs.

For the 2021-22 school year, all District 15 schools have been designated as Commendable. A Commendable school designation means that not only does the school’s overall performance fall within the state’s performance targets, each of the student demographic groups in the school also meets the state’s performance targets. Additionally, District 15 continues to outperform the state average in each tested area: English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and attaining English proficiency for students learning English.

Building on resources found within the Illinois Report Card (IRC), the District also mines data from a variety of additional assessments to create a fuller picture as we create and drive school improvement plans. Key sources range from the 5 Essentials School Climate Survey, Measures for Academic Progress (MAP) achievement tests, Fastbridge Early Literacy assessments, as well as assessments of student mental health to identify and respond to student social-emotional concerns and levels of risk for mental health concerns.

Our staff and leaders are committed to knowing, engaging, and supporting the needs of all learners.
