District 15 schools set dates for students to meet their teachers and walk their schedules
The first day of classes in Community Consolidated School District 15 is set for Wednesday, Aug. 26, for Grades 1–8, and Thursday, Aug. 27, for kindergarten and early childhood students.
Three District 15 junior high schools—Carl Sandburg, Plum Grove, and Walter R. Sundling—will be open Monday, Aug. 24, from 1 to 2 p.m. for students and parents to walk students’ class schedules. Winston Campus Junior High’s “Walk Your Schedule” hours will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. the same day.
Also, 14 of the district’s 15 elementary schools have scheduled “Meet the Teacher” opportunities on Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Stuart R. Paddock School’s “Meet the Teacher” will be held the same day, but from 1-2 p.m.
