Sundling Jazz Band Earns Superior Rating
 On January 23, the Walter R. Sundling Junior High School Jazz Band, under the direction of Jeff Zilke, participated in the 33rd Annual Northshore Jazz Festival at Glenbrook South High School in Glenview. The WRS Jazz Band was awarded a superior rating, and tied for third place out of the 15 bands participating in the festival.
Also, Kirsten Eissman, an eighth-grade trombone player, was awarded an Outstanding Soloist Award at the festival.
