Central Road School Plans Family Reading Night

Students at Central Road School and their families will gather at 6:25 p.m. Nov. 16 for the school’s annual Family Reading Night, an event sponsored jointly by the Central Road Literacy Committee and the PTA.

Children are encouraged to dress in comfy clothes and bring stuffed animals or pillows for “Pajama Reading Time,” featuring stories ready by teachers and community members, beginning at 6:40 p.m.

Special guest for the evening will be Bill Buczinsky, founder of “A Child’s Voice,” a group dedicated to encouraging children’s interest in poetry. Buczinsky, a former banker and high school English teacher, uses rhythm, music, humor and acting to inspire his audience to “play the game of poetry” by acting out poems in a high-energy, participatory show. Buczinsky’s presentation is scheduled for 7:15-8 p.m.
