Final Day of School To Be June 8

The last day of school of the 2006-07 school year in Community Consolidated School District 15 will be Friday, June 8, as approved by the Board of Education at its April 11 , 2007, meeting.
According to the district’s official 2006-07 calendar, the school year had been scheduled to end on June 14, 2007. However, in planning the calendar, emergency days are included, and when they are not used, the Board of Education traditionally shortens the school year by any remaining unused emergency days. This school year, District 15 schools had one day of non-attendance due to snow on December 1, 2006.
An official calendar for the 2007-08 school year was also approved by the Board of Education. The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 22, 2007, for Grades 1-8 and Thursday, August 23, 2007, for kindergarten students.
