Marion Jordan Fifth Grader Goes to State Geography Bee

Anton Karpovich, a fifth grader at Marion Jordan School, has qualified for participation in the state level of the National Geographic Bee on March 30 at the Field Museum, Chicago.
After winning a geography bee at Marion Jordan, Anton took a written qualifying test. His score ranked him as one of the top 100 scorers in the state, making him eligible to participate in the state competition. One winner from each state will advance to the national competition, scheduled for May 22-23 at the National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington, D.C.
