SPARK Meeting to Address Junior High, High School Transitions
Junior high and high school transition teams will be on hand at the January meeting of SPARK (Special Education Parents Accessing Resources and Knowledge) at 7 p.m. January 29 at Plum Grove Junior High School, 2600 Plum Grove Rd., Rolling Meadows. The meeting is open to all parents of District 15 students.
Separate sessions are planned for parents with students moving into junior high and for those whose children are transitioning to high school. Transition teams will discuss what’s involved in transition and address specific questions about how to make the process successful and exciting for the students.
SPARK, a Northwest Suburban Council of PTSA committee, serves families of children with special needs in District 15. The group’s purpose is to educate parents, provide resources, network and support for families of all children receiving special education services. For additional information, contact any District 15 school for the name of the school’s SPARK representative.
