Fourteen District 15 Students Earn Perfect ISAT Scores in Math, Reading
Fourteen elementary students from schools in District 15 earned perfect scores in the math and reading portions of the Illinois Standards Achievement Tests (ISAT tests) given in spring 2005. The students’ exceptional achievement will be recognized by the District 15 Board of Education at its December 14 meeting.
ISAT measures the extent to which students are meeting the Illinois Learning Standards, adopted in 1997. Illinois teachers and curriculum experts developed the tests in cooperation with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Third, fifth, and eighth graders across the state took the standardized ISAT reading and math tests last spring, while students in grades four and seven took ISAT tests in science. Test results were reported to the district, schools, and parents by the ISBE earlier this school year.
