Winners of the Illinois Junior Academy of Science state science fair from District 15 junior high schools were honored at the May 10 Board of Education meeting. They included:

Four students received recognition for the excellence of their paper session presentations:

Drew Klingner, Walter R. Sundling;
Jenny Shao, Plum Grove; and
Jeevan Topgi, Winston Campus.
Three students also received special awards:
Jenny Shao, Plum Grove received the Best Project in the Microbiology Category;
Daniel Flavin, Carl Sandburg received the Structual Engineers Association of Illinois award; and
Julie Prombo, Walter R. Sundling received the Best Project in the Botany Category and a $400 monetary award from the Agri-Women of Illinois.
