Conyers Learning Academy Conducts Anger Management Sessions
Managing anger in the family is the topic of a three-session Family Anger Group at Conyers Learning Academy for families of District 15 students.
The first session, on causes and effects of anger, originally scheduled for March 16 was cancelled due to snow; it has been rescheduled for April 4. The two remaining sessions are set for April 18, when anger management (parent) will be discussed, and May 11 for a discussion centering on anger management (child). Each group is independent; participants can attend any of the sessions. Sessions run for an hour beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Families planning to attend are asked to call or e-mail Conyers Learning Academy social worker Don Sommerville at 847-963-3450 or sommervd@ccsd15.net before each session listing the number of adults attending and the need for childcare, including number of children and ages. Transportation may be provided, but requests must be made one week prior to the date of the group session.
