Plum Grove Junior High to Celebrate the Arts

The art department at Plum Grove Junior High will host “Kaleidoscope Day,” a celebration of diversity in the arts, at the school from 7:55 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. March 23. The observance is part of Youth Art Month.

Guest artists from the Northwest Cultural Council will be working with Plum Grove students or demonstrating their crafts throughout the day. Presenters will include cartoonist Shannon Townsend and violinist and violin maker Jordan Ripstein. Demonstrations will include scrapbooking, maskmaking by a maskmaker and performer, clay artists and more. High school students and art teachers from Fremd High School will also be on hand to demonstrate their work.
