Blood Drive Set for January 18 at Plum Grove
A blood drive sponsored by the Plum Grove High School PTSA for District 15 staff and members of the community will be held from 2:45-8 p.m. January 18, at Plum Grove Junior High School, 2600 Plum Grove Rd., Rolling Meadows. Walk-ins are welcome.
Blood donors must be in good health, be at least 17 years old, weigh more than 110 pounds, and have not donated blood in the last 56 days. For questions regarding eligibility to donate, call the LifeSource Medical Help Desk, at 847-803-7921.
Approximately 90 percent of people will need blood at sometime during their lives, yet fewer than five percent of those eligible blood to donate do so. The entire donation process, including all testing and paperwork, takes about one hour.
