District 15 Names New Principal for Winston Campus-Elementary
 Mary Salsinger, currently building assistant at Winston Campus-Elementary in Palatine, was named by the Board of Education as principal of the school effective with the start of the 2005-06 school year. Salsinger will succeed Kelly Wieczorek, who resigned to accept a position with another school district.
Salsinger has been with District 15 since 1997. She was a teacher of third- and fourth-grade gifted classes at Pleasant Hill School until being named building assistant at Winston Campus-Elementary at the start of the 2004-05 school year. She holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Rush University in Chicago, graduated summa cum laude with a masters of arts in teaching from National-Louis University, and earned an certificate of advanced study in specialization in educational management from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago. She earned certification as a middle childhood generalist in 2001 from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, considered the highest teaching professional available.
