Winston Campus-Elementary Student Earns WordMaster Honors
Jack Riedy, a fourth grader at Winston Campus-Elementary, won highest honors in WordMasters Challenge, a national language arts competition. In the entire country, only 214 fourth graders earned perfect scores in the second of three meets held during the school year.
More than 225,000 students in grades three through eight competed in this year’s WordMasters Challenge. The competition is an exercise in critical thinking which challenges students to learn new words and then to solve analogies based on relationships among those words.
