Lincoln School Third-Graders Build Rockets
Third-grade students at Lincoln School have been building model rockets from kits provided through a donation made by Estes Rockets and Chapter 790 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). The final rocket-making class will be held April 22.
Lincoln staff member Barbara Brisson was able to procure the rockets for this project as a result of her volunteer efforts at KidVenture, part of the EAA fly-in convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and for the Estes Rocket Company. The project supports the third-grade curriculum on planets, space, and rocketry.
Completed rockets will be on display at Lincoln’s open house later this spring.
