Author to Visit Frank C. Whiteley School
Jeff Smith, author of BONE, the top humor book in the American comic book direct market, will meet with students during an assembly at Frank C. Whiteley School, 4335 Haman Ave., Hoffman Estates, on April 21 at 1 p.m.
BONE, a comedy-adventure about three lost cousins from Boneville, is published by Smith’s company, Cartoon Books. In 2005, the Scholastic Graphix imprint will publish Bone #1: Out of Boneville as a full-color graphic novel. Smith’s work is published in 13 languages and has won awards in the U.S., Germany, France, and Italy.
