Whiteley Third Graders to Celebrate Arbor Day
Third-grade students from Frank C. Whiteley School, Hoffman Estates, will participate in the annual Arbor Day ceremony sponsored by the Village of Hoffman Estates, at 10:30 a.m. April 29 at Arbor Day Park, Downing Drive and Sumac Trail, Hoffman Estates.
The ceremony will include a brief history of Arbor Day, a reading of the 2005 Arbor Day proclamation, and a ceremonial tree planting by village officials, staff, and 12 of the students.
Rain date will be May 13.
