Hunting Ridge to Receive Township Award
Hunting Ridge School in Palatine is one of four organizations chosen to receive the TOPS Award (Township of Palatine Service Ward). The award will be presented at 7:30 p.m. April 12 at the Palatine Township Annual Meeting.
Given annually by the township board, the award honors organizations which have significantly improved the quality of life for Palatine Township residents. Hunting Ridge was selected in recognition of the school’s efforts in providing 32 Thanksgiving food baskets.
On hand to accept the award on behalf of the school will be Dave Sobel, physical education teacher who organized the school-wide turkey shoot/food drive; Kathy Laporte, Student Council advisor; and Student Council officers and members who helped with the food collection and delivery.
