District 15 to Host IGSMA Contest
Community Consolidated School District 15 will host the annual Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) District VIII Solo & Ensemble Contest on February 26 at Walter R. Sundling Junior High School.
The event, which begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m., will feature more than 1,200 instrumental and vocal student performances. Contestants come from communities across the northwest suburbs, including schools in District 15 as well as in Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Glenview, Kenilworth, Mt. Prospect, Northbrook, Prospect Heights, River Trails, Winnetka, and Quest Academy.
