Thomas Jefferson School Raises Funds for Tsunami Victims

Who: Thomas Jefferson Student Council and teacher Jane Vander Pol’s first-grade class

What: The students are selling Tsunami relief wristbands in both child and adult sizes for $2. Profit on each wristband is $1.30, and all proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross. In the first three days, $750 was raised toward the goal of $1,300.

Where: Thomas Jefferson School, 3805 Winston Dr., Hoffman Estates

When: Wristbands will be sold until January 21

Why: To raise funds for tsunami victims
