“Hat Day” at Willow Bend Raises Funds for Tsunami Victims
Who: Willow Bend students and staff
What: “Hat Day” to raise funds for tsunami victims—students/staff will be allowed to wear hats to school by making a donation of $1.
Where: Willow Bend School, 4700 Barker Ave., Rolling Meadows
When: All day Friday, January 14 (school hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
Why: Funds collected will be contributed to the American Red Cross to aid in disaster relief efforts in southern Asia. The project is sponsored by the school’s Environmental Kids Club.
