District 15 Names Assistant Principal, Building Assistants
Two assistant principals and two building assistants were appointed by the Board of Education of Community Consolidated School District 15 at the board’s June 9 meeting. Three fill positions vacated by others who have transferred to other positions within the district or resigned. The Winston Campus position was created by the separation of the elementary and junior high administrative teams.
The appointments are:
Julie Fogarty, named assistant principal at Virginia Lake. Fogarty has been building assistant at Gray M. Sanborn School since 2001. She previously was a grant coordinator at Harlem School District in Machesney Park and a second-grade teacher, also in Machesney Park.
Charles Fed, named assistant principal for Winston Campus Junior High. Fed comes to District 15 from East Aurora High School, where he has been dean of students. He previously taught seventh grade social studies and eighth grade U.S. history at Larsen Middle School in Elgin.
Kim Hinley, named building assistant at Thomas Jefferson. Hinley joins District 15 from Johnsburg School District 12, where she is an administrator intern and a teacher at Johnsburg High School.
Adam Palmer, named building assistant at Gray M. Sanborn. Palmer has been a teacher at Winston Campus since 1994, where he has also been an administrator intern, science chair, team leader, and basketball coach.
