PTA Council President to be Honored by District 15 Board of Education and Superintendent
Kathy Buesching, outgoing president of Northwest Suburban Council PTA/PTSA District 37, will be recognized by the Board of Education and Superintendent of Community Consolidated School District 15 at the board’s May 26 meeting. Buesching is being honored for her contributions and service to the district.
Buesching has served as PTA Council president since 2001. She is also Illinois PTA leadership development chairman and serves on several Illinois PTA committees, including bylaws, public relations, programs and publications. She has been involved with the District 15 PTA groups for 18 years, having been an active member of the PTAs in three District 15 schools: Stuart R. Paddock, Plum Grove Junior High and the former Winston Churchill (now Winston Campus). She and her husband Bud, residents of Palatine, are the parents of four children who have attended district schools.
“Kathy’s dedication to District 15’s schools, students, and teachers has been extremely beneficial,” said Dr. Robert A. McKanna, District 15 superintendent. “Her energy and enthusiasm are a positive force in PTA, at both the district and state levels. We are most appreciative of her efforts, and we hope she will continue to share her talents with the district and with PTA.”
