Virginia Lake Teacher Wins Award
Shannon Lesko, fifth-grade teacher at Virginia Lake, was selected as a local winner of the Sam’s Club “Teacher of the Year” award. She was nominated by students from her classroom and received a certificate, a $1,000 prize and cake for a class celebration.
Ms. Lesko’s name will be submitted for the Sam’s Club Illinois “Teacher of the Year” award.
