Two District 15 Staff Members Receive State ‘Those Who Excel’ Awards
Two members of the District 15 staff—a principal and a teacher—have earned recognition in the Illinois State Board of Education “Those Who Excel” award program.
Karen Hindman, currently principal of Frank C. Whiteley School, won an Award of Merit, and Gloria Covington, core teacher at Walter R. Sundling Junior High, won an Award of Recognition.
They, along with other Those Who Excel winners from across the state, will be honored at the Those Who Excel awards banquet, set for April 17 in Springfield.
