District 15 Fourth Grader Earns Fourth Place in Suburban Spelling Bee
Aamani Paturi, a fourth grader at Marion Jordan School, won fourth place in the Chicago Tribune Chicagoland Spelling Bee suburban final on March 16.
Aamani was the youngest of 21 contestants in the bee’s suburban category, which was won by an eighth grader from Mundelein. The suburban bee winner and the winner of the city bee will compete in the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., in early June.
