Virginia Lake Band Students Win Awards
Several music students from Virginia Lake School, Palatine, earned superior ratings in the Illinois Grade School Music Association solo and ensemble contest held on February 14.
Rachel Mueller earned both a superior rating and a perfect score for her piano solo. Others who earned superior ratings were:
Kevin Borre, alto sax solo;
Kevin Borre and Brian Sund, alto sax duet;
Kelli Burke and Sarah Olles, alto sax duet;
Sara Gladden, piano solo;
Lara Robeznieks, piano solo; and
Brian Sund, alto sax solo.
