Lake Louise School Plans ‘Enchanted Evening’
Families of students from Lake Louise School will spend “An Enchanted Evening” at the school, 500 N. Jonathan Dr., Palatine, on Feb. 19 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
This special family reading night, sponsored by the Lake Louise Reading Committee, will center on the theme of fairy tales. Kindergarten through second-grade students will participate in activities centering on the stories of “The Little Red Hen” and “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.” Students in grades three through six will put Goldilocks on trial for trespassing, appearing before “judge” Josh Carpenter, assistant principal. They will also participate in a fairy tale scavenger hunt.
At the close of the evening, Lake Louise staff members will perform “Cinderella” featuring principal Mary Szuch as Cinderella and head custodian Dave Jedlink as the prince. Other teachers will play supporting roles.
