Plum Grove Junior High Teacher Wins Library Association Award
Barbara Stretch, resource center teacher at Plum Grove Junior High School, has been named “School Library Staff Member of the Year” by the North Suburban Library System (NSLS). The award is presented annually in recognition of exceptional contributions to NSLS and its member libraries.
“For more than 30 years she has stimulated student academic growth through mastery of knowledge acquisition skills,” said Plum Grove principal Cheryl Quinn in nominating Stretch for the award. “Her approach to students’ acquisition of these skills instills in students the quest for lifelong learning. She is well respected by her colleagues for her expertise, professionalism, leadership and unwavering dedication to students.”
The award will be presented to Stretch at the NSLS awards banquet, scheduled for March 12.
