Thomas Jefferson School Performs "A Connecticut Yankee"

The Thomas Jefferson School Drama Club will perform the musical "A Connecticut Yankee" on Thursday, November 21 at the Prairie Center for the Performing Arts in Schaumburg. Alessandra Kennedy, a fifth grade teacher, is the producer and director of the performance and is assisted by fellow teachers Lou Ann Ratajczyk, Rita Molepske, and student teacher Darcy Barnas.

The troupe is comprised of more than 70 fifth and sixth graders who have rehearsed during the lunch hour and after school since September. The musical is a charming tale of a modern-day boy in King Arthur's Court. Last year, the Thomas Jefferson Drama Club performed the musical "Annie."

The students will perform a morning "school show" at 9:30 a.m. and an evening performance at 7:30 p.m. for family, friends, and the community.

For more information, please contact Alessandra Kennedy at (847) 963-5400.
