NBC Meteorologist to Bring "Weather With Class" Program to Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson.
NBC 5 meteorologist, Tammie Souza, is visiting schools across the greater Chicago area in an effort to bring a better understanding of weather to the classroom. Her presentation titled "Weather with Class" is filled with information designed to make studying the weather fun and easy for students to follow. The one-hour visit includes a brief behind-the-scenes video, several experiments, and plenty of rapid-fire questions.
Her visit to Thomas Jefferson School is scheduled for Thursday, November 14 and her visit to Lincoln School is scheduled for Friday, November 22.
Each school visited will be featured on one of the weekend morning newscasts and on the station web site at nbc5.com. A weekly weather question will also be chosen from the students and featured on the same newscast.
Tammie Souza has been a member of the NBC5 weather team since December 2000.
