May Employee of the Month: Bob Loitfellner, Supervisor, Custodial Services and Security
Bob has served District 15 as supervisor of custodial services and security for 12 years. He joined the district in 1991 after having been director of buildings and grounds at Harper College for 10 years. Bob has supervised nearly 100 building custodians at the district’s 21 buildings, responsible for cleaning 1.6 million square feet of school and office space. He’s also been responsible for coordinating security and employee access to all district facilities.
“Bob has been dedicated to his job and has set high standards for the staff to achieve,” noted his nominator. “He has worked to educate, train, and assist the custodial staff using quality continuous improvement tools. He has set a wonderful example as a hands-on manager who rolls up his sleeves and helps the staff whenever needed.”
Bob is originally from the Milwaukee area, and he’s still an enthusiastic Green Bay Packers fan. He and his wife Carol live in Ingleside where they raise Norwegian elkhounds and operate a small dog boarding kennel. They are the parents of two adult children and have two granddaughters and one grandson.
