Plum Grove Junior High to Showcase the Arts in 'Kaleidoscope Day'
A day-long celebration showcasing the arts, "Kaleidoscope Day," is scheduled at Plum Grove Junior High School on Friday, March 21.
Artists from the Northwest Cultural Council, Fremd High School faculty and students, staff members from the District 15 art department, and other Chicago-area artists and performers will share their talents through workshops, demonstrations and performances in drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, chorus, drama, art history and creative food arts. These activities will run from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Two dance performances by a contemporary dance company, Dance: Ideas in Motion, are scheduled from 1-2:25 p.m. The dance performances are sponsored by the Plum Grove PTSA through Urban Gateways, an arts organization that works with Chicago-area schools.
The celebration has been planned for Youth Art Month (March) by the Plum Grove art department and the school's Enrichment Team.
