Six vocal and instrumental groups from District 15 schools earned eligibility to go on to the state music contest by winning first place ratings in the Illinois Grade School Music Association Organizational contest March 8.

The winning groups included:

Marion Jordan Chorus—Becky Clark, director;

Walter R. Sundling Chorus and Walter R. Sundling “Originals” Swing Choir—Joy Wade, director;

Walter R. Sundling Band—Jeff Zilke, director; and

Although all are eligible to participate in the state contest in April, only the Sundling Chorus and Swing Choir and the District 15 Chamber Strings are planning to attend.
