Kimball Hill School Plans Celebrity Storyfest
Students at Kimball Hill Elementary School in Rolling Meadows will participate in a celebration of reading at the school’s 4th Annual Celebrity Winter Storyfest, set for the week of March 3. The storyfest also is timed to mark the birthday of Dr. Seuss, March 3, which has been designated a Read Across America celebration.
Local celebrities scheduled to attend are State Rep. Suzie Bassi, Rolling Meadows Mayor Tom Menzel and several of the city’s aldermen, Palatine Mayor Rita Mullins, “Ozzie the Cougar,” mascot of the Kane County Cougars, Rolling Meadows police and fire officers, park district staff members, representatives of area businesses, students from Rolling Meadows High School and Carl Sandburg Junior High, and others.
