PTA Council donates bike for handicapped children to The Learning Academy
A special hand-operated bicycle which allows children who can’t use their legs to ride, was donated to School District 15 by the Northwest Suburban Council PTA/PTSA. The bike, made by the Pioneers (retired telephone company employees), will be used at The Learning Academy. The presentation was made by Kathy Buesching, president of the Northwest Suburban Council. Accepting the donation were Deb Zech, principal at The Learning Academy; Dr. John G. Conyers, superintendent of schools; and Dr. Darrell Mittelheuser, director of student services.
